How To Setup an IPSec VPN Connection On Mac OS X 10.4

Please note that 69.42.54.50 is given as an example server address. You are encouraged to check the confirmation email and use one of the servers from the list

Configuring a VPN connection under Mac OS X is easy and painless. With just a few simple clicks and a minimum of preferences to set, you'll be surfing anonymously in no time flat.


1) open the ‘Applications’ folder by going to the Finder and choosing “New Finder Window” from the “File” menu. Click on the ”Applications” icon, then scroll down until you see the “Internet Connect” icon.

2) Double–click on the “Internet Connect” icon.

3) Next, go to the ‘File’ menu and select “New VPN Connection Window.”

4) Click ‘L2TP over IPsec,’ then click ‘Continue.’

5) Click the ‘Other’ popup menu, then select ‘Edit Configurations…’

6) You should see the VPN Configuration window

7) Fill in the fields as follows
Description: Blacklogic VPN
Server address: get it from the activation email
Account name: get it from the activation email
User Authentication: Use Password
Get password from the activation email
Machine Authentication: Shared Secret
Click OK
